The following are several causes and solutions that may cause the
chain saw guide and chain to heat up:
1. Insufficient or no oil supply
Solution: Add oil in time, and clear the oil supply oil circuit, such as oil filter head, oil pump, oil pipe. Among them, the bottom of the oil pump can be used to adjust the oil output of the oil, generally 60 to 70%.
2. The oil hole of the guide plate is blocked or the guide plate groove is blocked
Solution: Use an air gun to clean up wood chips or debris on the guide.
3. The groove width of the guide plate does not match the width specification of the chain guide tooth
Solution: It is recommended to replace to match the specification.
4. The guide plate is not evenly curved
Solution: It is recommended to replace the guide plate directly.
Other notes:
Although the requirements for lubricating oil between the chain saw guide plate and the chain are not too high, the waste oil replaced by the general engine can also be used, but the debris in the oil should be filtered before use to avoid blockage.
Do not adjust the chain saw guide plate and chain too tightly or too loosely. It is required that the chain should be close to the guide plate after installation, and the chain can be pushed freely when the zipper chain is pushed forward with a rose knife. When pulling the chain off the guide plate after installing the chain, you can pull up about half of the guide teeth.
Note that the groove width specification of the guide plate corresponds to the thickness of the guide teeth of the chain. Under normal circumstances, the thickness of the guide teeth of 325 is 1.5MM, and the thickness of 3/8 is mostly 1.6MM.
Buy a qualified guide plate, the quality of the guide plate is generally hard and wear-resistant, and the guide plate is flat and will not be bent. To buy good accessories, be sure to buy factory accessories that produce or assemble the whole machine, so that it is guaranteed.
